ABOUT MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling, a dermaroller procedure, uses small needles in order to prick the skin. The purpose of the treatment is to produce new collagen and also skin tissue for firmer, smoother, and more toned skin. Microneedling is primarily utilized on the face and can treat various wrinkles, scars, and large pores.

SAFETY

Microneedling is minimally invasie and requires no down-time. It is considered safe for people that are overall in good health. The procedure is not safe for those who are using certain types of acne medications or for women that are pregnant. You will experience some minor redness as well as irritation for a couple days following the procedure.

CONVENIENCE

Total procedure and prep time is usually two hours. You will need to see a plastic surgeon, a board-certified dermatologist, or a cosmetic surgeon for this procedure. In a few states, an aesthetician may be able to perform the procedure if they are supervised by a physician. You may need four procedures or more to get the best results.
